SUMMER CLASSES:
Let’s Put On A Play!
GLT
Interns will show you everything that goes on in order to
make a production come to life. From casting to production
–From work onstage and in the spotlight to the many
duties backstage –From the very first rehearsal to
the last little detail before curtain –You’ll
be exposed to it all and get to make the magic of theatre
come alive in a final group production.

Let’s Make A Movie!
Did
you ever want to be in a movie? Well, here’s your
chance… Hollywood is coming to GLT this summer! In
this intensive, hands-on workshop, students will get a crash
course in the movie biz with GLT Interns. You’ll get
the chance to participate in the movie making process from
start to
finish—students will write, direct and star in their
very own film. And then, GLT will roll out the red carpet
and you’ll have the chance to bring friends and family
to a special premiere screening!

Let’s Put On A
Musical!
Hone
your skills with GLT Interns who will teach you everything
you’ll ever need to know about performing in a musical.
This exciting course will enhance performance techniques
through various movement, dance and vocal exercises. Each
student will work on an audition song and dance routine.
The workshop culminates with the presentation of a short
musical at the end of the week.

WHAT:

This
class gets you up and on your feet. Using scene, monologue,
and improvisational work, this class promises to provide
the inexperienced with a platform to play, while the
experienced is pushed and challenged to grow. Greenville
Little Theatre's Associate Director, Reed Halvorson,
will lead this class by breaking down the very complex
world of acting to its most basic elements. Educational
as well as fun, this class will build the confidence
and knowledge needed to get that next part! |

INSTRUCTOR:
|
Reed
has been a part of the theatre for over 13 years. A
graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead with
a degree in theatre, he’s been with the Greenville
Little Theatre since 2004. As a technician, actor, director,
and teacher, he’s been very busy since his arrival.
His roles include Cornelius Hackl in Hello Dolly! and
Max in Lend Me a Tenor. Directing credits include Dial
“M” for Murder, A Tuna Christmas, There
Goes the Bride, and GLT on Tour’s productions
the past two years. |
