Allen McCalla (Artistic Director)
Allen’s responsibilities with GLT run from conception to consumption.  He selects all of the plays performed at the theatre, casts the shows, and either directs or oversees the direction of each production.  Allen is also the “face” of the theatre in the community by being liaison with the community, the other local arts groups, and the board. He has served as Director since 1993.  A Greenville native and a Wofford College graduate, Allen received his Masters Degree in Directing from University of South Carolina in 1982. His academic training was further advanced by attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. While attending USC, Allen worked extensively as a writer and performer with SCETV.  After graduating, Allen served as Professor of Theatre at Coastal Carolina Community College where he directed numerous productions. He has directed professionally for the Dallas Theater Center, Casa Maňana Theatre, San Antonio Shakespeare Festival, and the San Antonio Stage Company.  In his 25+ years as a theatre professional he has acted in or directed more than 120 major productions. For seven years he was a member of legendary stage director Adrian Hall’s acting company at the Dallas Theater Center and has also performed with the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre, Stage West, Dallas Repertory, Kentucky Repertory, and the Shakespeare Festival of Dallas. 

 

Suzanne McCalla (Producing Director)
Since 1993 Suzanne has overseen the budget and general operations of the theatre as well as special events held in the Theatre’s beautiful lobby.  She also oversees all aspects of set and costume design, and has personally designed the sets and costumes for almost every show at GLT since she arrived. Suzanne has a B.A. in Theatre Performance from University of South Carolina and has worked professionally for more than twenty-five years.  The early part of her career was spent acting in regional theatre and television commercials where she was fortunate to work with renowned director Adrian Hall and Tony Award winning designer Eugene Lee.  Her GLT acting credits include Billie Dawn in Born Yesterday, Meg McGrath in Crimes of the Heart, Elvira Condomine in Blithe Spirit, Regina Giddens in The Little Foxes, Myra Marlowe in A Bad Year for Tomatoes, Essie Miller in Ah, Wilderness!, Maria Merrelli in Lend Me a Tenor, and Mrs. Mullin in Carousel.  Suzanne’s GLT directing credits include Agatha Christie’s Appointment with Death, Dracula, All My Sons, Witness for the Prosecution, A Murder Is Announced, Black Coffee, Murder at the Vicarage, Tintypes, The Glass Menagerie, The Hound of the Baskervilles, and Camelot. 

 

Kimberlee Ferreira (Choreographer)
Kimberlee was dancing professionally in
New York by the age of 18. Her acting credits include Dainty June in Gypsy, Lily St. Regis in Annie, Roxie Hart in Chicago and Cassie in A Chorus Line. A sought-after teacher and choreographer, Kimberlee is director of the jazz companies at the Upstate Carolina Dance Center. Recent GLT credits include Christmas Spectacular 2008, Fiddler on the Roof, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Hello Dolly!, Honky Tonk Angels Holiday Spectacular, and Carousel.

 

 

Charlie Miller (Musical Director)
Charlie Miller is beginning his eighth year as Musical Director for GLT. He earned his Bachelors in Commercial Music and Music Business at Belmont University and his Masters in Piano Performance from Western Kentucky University. Charlie has his own recording studio, where he writes, produces, and records music. Some of his clients include the U.S. Dept. of Defense, Delta Airlines, Sony Records, MCI, Verizon, and Michelin. He also records custom accompaniment tracks, and has produced thousands of songs for soloists, groups, and beauty pageants from the local level to the Miss America Pageant. Most recently, a book of Charlie's Hymn arrangements was published by Lillenas Publishing, one of the 3 major Gospel Music publishers worldwide. Reed Halvorson (Associate Director)
Reed joined GLT full time in 2005. Since arriving from North Dakota, he has been busy as an intern, scene shop assistant, and now Associate Director. Reed has directed Dial “M” for Murder, A Tuna Christmas, There Goes the Bride, Always Patsy Cline, Leading Ladies, GLT On Tour’s productions the past three years, and Studio 444’s first full length production of Anton in Show Business. Reed is also Producer for our Studio 444 series. For GLT Jr., he teaches the youth acting classes as well as coordinating and teaching his own Adult Acting Classes.


 

James R. Marrelli (Business & Operations Manager)
Jim handles all the finances for GLT and maintains the facility. He works closely with the Treasurer to compile the monthly financial statements. Jim holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Theatre from California State University at Long Beach. Jim has been with GLT for over twenty-five years and his involvement has been numerous and varied. He has taught stagecraft, designed lights, and sound for over one hundred theatre and dance productions. Jim is our “go to” guy for almost every historical or facility need.

 

 

Rhonda Meahl (Box Office Manager)
Rhonda, a native of
Western NY, has a business and human services background and a love for the theatre. Her theatre experience includes roles onstage, directing of numerous children’s church productions, and backstage management. Her business and organizational background make her an excellent fit for the box office. Rhonda joined the GLT staff in July 2007 and has enjoyed living in Greenville the last eight years, with her two children Caleb and Leah and husband Bruce.  They are also fellow Thespians.

 


Ginny Golliher (Marketing Coordinator)
Ginny joined the Greenville Little Theatre in May 2006. She has an extensive background in sales and customer service and was previously employed with MCI in
New York and South Carolina. A graduate of the College of New Rochelle in New York, she has a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Communications. Ginny coordinates all of the print media, publicity, and marketing displayed by the theatre. She sells advertising and designs the layout for our playbill.
