Why Support?

The Greenville Little Theatre is now in its 84th year of providing quality entertainment to Upstate South Carolina.  The core of each season is the Theatre’s six main stage productions of classic plays and musicals from comedies to serious dramas, including such recent favorites as Fiddler on the Roof, Lend me a Tenor, and To Kill a Mockingbird.

The main stage shows are complemented several times a year by our Studio 444 series of one-act productions, which explore an even broader range of dramatic spectrum and serves as a forum for the development of up-and-coming actors and directors in the Upstate region.  Our GLT On Tour outreach program supports the arts in education and the community each year by taking a touring theatre production directly into area schools to thousands of children.  The Theatre also offers acting, dancing and other classes for both youth and adults.

The Greenville Little Theatre is a community theatre.  Almost all of our performers are unpaid actors, singers and dancers drawn from the incredible pool of talent in the Upstate.  Much of the work of the Theatre off of the stage, from ushering and box office operations to building sets, is the work of our many dedicated volunteers.  As with most theatres, ticket sales cover only a portion of the Theatre’s costs, and our productions would not be possible without additional financial contributions from community members who value the arts.  If you are interested in getting involved and donating to the Greenville Little Theatre in any capacity, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We hope to see you at our next show.

Sincerely,

Andy Coburn
Chair, GLT Board of Directors
